This could easily have gone under sports, politics, etc., but I decided on humor.

So did the Aggies mess with the Longhorns? You be the judge.

This is almost as bad as the plant geneticist that dreamed up the rectangular watermelon that could be trasported more efficiently. I bet it was a TAMU grad that created the special bluebonnet seed and then secretly planted it in a highly visible location at UT.

I have seen clear plastic boxes that young watermelons are placed inside to grow "square". When ripe the box is removed and the "square" melons can be stacked. Sounds like too much work to me. Just pull 'em, cool 'em and eat 'em.

The Maroon Bluebonnet has actually been around for several years. And it did come from an Aggie. The question is, who planted them in austin.
