Well, my prayers have been answered as the NY Rangers will meet the NJ Devils in the prelude to the Stanley Cup.

These two teams hate each other and have had two games this season that began with three fights immediately after the opening faceoff.
I have been a fan of the NY Rangers since the radio days in the early 1950's and now I see all the games on a 46 inch HDTV with 5.1 sound.

Gotta agree with ya on the intensity level of this series. Same in the West Conference. I think most will agree that we are dealing with 4 goalies who can just plain stand on thier head and shut anybody down at any given time.
I'm not one for predictions, but I'm thinking Rangers in 6, Coyotes in 7. Of those 13 games, 10 will be determined in overtime. Any 2 goal game wins will be empty netters from the final minute.
Then I'll go with Rangers to sweep the 'Yotes.
Then again, who knows. I guess that's why the play the games. And it seems the zebra's are doing pretty well at letting them play and not making stupid BS penalty calls. That's a good thing.
So may the better team win and I can't wait till October when my Red Wings get back on the ice.
Not happy about it, but I'd say Devils in 6. Damn fine D both ways.

Angel, you really are an angel. But I will suggest that there really are not enough folks on this board that know diddly squat about hockey. Trying to host a fun-off contest would be really challenging, even for those that do know the game.
The rules really are pretty straightforward, but some folks just don't get it. Most likely because it is such a fast game with so many options for every play, they happen so fast, and if you blink you'll miss a good play.
But for this season of our Lord Stanley, I think the smart money is going Devils & Kings. Likely Devils in 6. My heart wants Coyotes & Rangers, but my reality check may bounce - again. Just like my $10 future bet early on for the Wings at 12:1 (then another $5 at 6:1 later on). Oh well.... couldah wouldah shouldah.... and I'd be rich...lol 😉
