From a previous post you stated:
??I thought the Regulants were whom Billy the Kid hung around with in Lincoln County.?
Cripes Paden, everyone knows that Billy hung out with the Montague??s and Capulet??s didn??t you ever see the movie ??Billy the Kid and Juliet??
Y'all have great 4th! 😎
It should be:
??I thought the Regulants were those in Lincoln County with whom Billy the Kid hung around.?
Even better would be:
"It was my assumption that William Bonney, also known as Billy the Kid, associated with Regulants while visiting Lincoln County.
A superior version would be:
My young schoolmate, Billy, told me of his adventures associating with Regulants in Lincoln County.
I knowed et rite from the git go you wood chime in with your graymar and spellin correctiveness.
It's obvious you haven't been milked today. 😉
A proper churnin' will start the day out right.
Deep thought: When water is removed intentionally, it is known as dewatering. Why is it that cows do not get demilked?

Probably the same reason as "near miss".
People think you are a better shot if you say near hit
Near miss is a funny term, it implies you almost missed.

Actually, looking at your target, I wonder: A) how large your target is? and B) how far away you shot at it from? Because if the target face is only 6" across, then all those rounds were close enough together to be hits in my way of thinking!

I'm fairly sure a 5.56??45mm NATO and a .223 Remington (Cartridge, 5.56mm Ball, M193) pretty much feel the same when they contact a 'target'...
Kinda my meaning. Ever get to wondering why the army targets are silhouettes, but for some reason gun nuts train with bulls eyes? if it stops the target from coming closer, I'm happier!

That's not my target it was an example of a near miss. However I can at least hit a target 18"??18" (not necessarily the bull's eye) at 20' with a SR9 and a SR9C. It took about 1000 rounds but I got it down pat now. 😎

I use to head to the indoor range a lot...it's only two blocks away from the house. But it tears up my ears. I much prefer outdoor shooting. And I'm about as good a shot as you are. 😉
I figure if it really comes down to it, quantity will win over quality....I'd rather have an intruder exit my house with 9 holes in him than to find him dead in the hallway with just one hole....

I agree. Florida has a "Castle Doctrine" statute which allows you to shoot an intrusive person incoming or outgoing.
BTW both the sr9 and the sr9c can hold 17 rounds. 😉

.
Maybe that's the origin of the mandatory warning phrase: "Don't move, or I'll shoot".
