Thought I'd try the Tapatalk app on this phone , thinking it would make posting pics easier. It did, but somehow I clicked some stuff and was getting way to many notifications and other "helpful things",. Instead of trying to muddle through things to adjust the settings, I86'd the whole thing. Got better things to do than mess with that stuff...

If I don't get instant gratification from one of the two zillion apps out there The trusty "uninstall" button does its thing. :-O

I tried Tapatalk briefly a few months back. It didn't last but a few days before I was done with it.

Tapatalk... groan.
another forum forced Tapatalk on us a year or two ago. It was very frustrating, a miserable experience. I finally managed to get it off of my old android phone, almost, but not 100%. some apps are quite invasive. I actually did a full reset on that device, then gifted it to my granddaughter.

but like all things, some people love it

Tapatalk is an invasive species. Check it out, see if you really want it, and if you do, install it. You NEVER really get fully rid of it.

I think I just did a plain uninstall, and haven't noticed any residual bits. What did you guys see that didn't get removed?

the other forum website continually defaulted to some weird interface... but only with that android, not the others that I had not installed Tapatalk on.
that forum webmaster got many complaints, but I don't follow those threads anymore.
When Wendell made his software change I decided to stay away from it... maybe it is part of the forum software code.

Stopped working for me couple days ago. No idea why. I've moved on.
