A Soldier wants to thank you for sending them a Cup of Joe!

Cup of Joe #1

Your message and gift of a CUP OF JOE was delivered to a Soldier serving at Iraq - Echo in Iraq. They wanted to say thanks and make sure you knew your gift was received. Please see below for their note to you:

"Wendell, All I can say is thank you as well. I greatly appreciate your support and thoughtfulness. I always look forward to getting a cup of coffee or frozen drink. It brings a smile to my face every time! May you have a blessed day! Joel"

You can do the same on a local level. When you see a young trooper in uniform at your local eatery, ask the waitress to bring you his/her bill. Same $10, or less, and you know for sure that it is treating a soldier. Remember, 90% of the kids in uniform in your home town have spent time in Sand Land and have earned a treat too. Plus, if you ask the waitress to do this on the QT, it's fun to watch the troopers reactions.
But then, anything we can do for these young folks never seems to be enough.

Cup O' Joe For A Joe - Soldier Responded!!

I have never heard of cup of Joe for a Joe. Sounds like a good thing going on.

When I get grandkids they will most likely hate me. I can't help but to tell a story, even one without meaning. 😉 I hope I remembered it correctly and hate to think how it might evolve by the time I tell it to my future grandkids. hopefully still a few years down the road.

My favorite drink from Green Beans is the White Chocolate Mocha. I have foundered on those more than once. My buddies had to 'get me up and walk me around.'

I was at a palace one day. I was in the Green 'Bean' Zone. Amazing place. They had a Grean Beans inside the palace. convenient. While waiting on our appointment to meet with the attorney, I spotted the Green Beans. Heaven.

Ordered a White chocolate Mocha, went over to a couch, sat down and looked up. I didn't look back down for what must have been 15 minutes. Amazing ceiling and crystal chandeliers. Beautiful.

I drank down my Large White Chocolate Mocha, was somewhat whoozy but decided I could handle another one.

Ordered another large, sat back down and looked over the rest of the room. The 'room' as it was considered, my entire house would fit inside easily twice and probably thrice. The ceiling must have been about 20 feet high.

I drank down my second White Chocolate Mocha. I was sick to my stomach. I was actually at little sick to my stomach about half way through but there was NO WAY I was going to waste any of that fine drink. (I just looked it up no wonder. Cals. 630, from fat 277 each)

The palace was air conditioned but I was sweating, my stomach was hurting I was dizzy probably from so much sugar intake. It was then I notice the floors. Marble, beautiful rugs, and it was about the only thing I could look at as I was having trouble holding my head up. I overdosed on Green Beans Coffee, again.

The attorney came and met up with us soon enough to take us to his office in the palace. It must have been a quarter mile walk and we never left the building! It was probably about half that distance but I was pretty sick to my stomach. Had to go through some pretty tight security as we were going into a secret clearance only area of the palace.

Inside was a domed ceiling which was just as, if not more, intricate than the one in the 'room'. They had built partitions so it wasn't possible to get a full view of this giant round room, I think it used to be a ball room or something judging from the balcony.

We got our briefing and instructed on proper etiquette when going before a judge there. Next day we were driven to another location just outside the Green 'Bean' Zone, testified, and left.

The palace was cool, but the Green Beans was awesome. I felt the wrath of being glutton that day.

Wendell,

Thanks for the Cup of Joe! Much appreciated. Its really nice to know that there are people out there supporting us especially with all the negative things you hear these days. Anyway, all blessings to you and thank you for your generous gift.
