Bullhead City, AZ and Laughlin, NV have a really really fun river event coming up Aug 13 weekend. River Regatta is a bunch of folks floating down the river for several miles. Lots of great raft ideas, bikini clad you know whats, water cannons, and the occasional over-served human. I've been to the last 3, and going again this year.
We've opted to not deal with our homemade raft and just go with inflatable devices. I bought a 2 seater lounge type thing, and have tubes for the essential cooler. That will provide us with an easier exit amongst all the masses. Temps then are 110 plus, but jumping in the water will take care of that. Maybe we'll get a monsoon passing by??
Motels/Casinos are filling up fast (I'm booked at River Palms so I don't have to drive home). Last year was about 10,000 people. They are predicting upwards of 20,000 this year, but who knows. Regardless, it will be fun for all.

Oh man how I would LOVE to go to this event!! They're a BLAST!!! And it feels so good to jump in the river during those times when it is over 100º out...cools ya off ASAP!!! 🙂
