I have heard similar stories from a few folks. The one in our kitchen is first generation and still works flawlessly. Of course I am a bit anal about never over filling it or running it low.
I picked up the cheapy for the office and it blew out in a month. My 250 model has run every day for 2 1/2 years. All in all its probsbly and as much luck as anything else.
My gut goes south with even a few small grounds in my cup. I wish I could find a reusable that doesnt let them through. If anyone knows of one I would appreciate the brand and model. ?ÿ

That looks promising. The paper filters arent a feature on any I've tried. Thank you..
Finally picked up an ekobrew and a box of filters yesterday.
No grounds and a consistent brew. Cant get any better than that. Thank you Shelby!
???? After I got my diagnosis that I should decaffeinate, I tried decaf for, like, a week, and I came to the conclusion that decaf blows.?

We have three coffee makers on our countertop. Mine was $9.99 at Walmart. My wife has a Keurig and a Ninja. The Ninja was close to $300. It came with a blender and some other stuff. The Keurig was about $100. I'm still trying to figure out what exactly happened with the coffee situation. She only started drinking coffee a few years ago. I've been drinking it since childhood. We also have an espresso machine but it's not been used for a while and we had no room on the countertop for it. We use McDonald's McCafe' coffee. Pretty good.
Once we get the house built we are going to buy a coffee maker that hooks into the waterlines and fills itself up. Had one at my old office and loved it.
I use I.V.
