Sitting in a gloomy, rainy downtown Austin digging through the records at the General Land office. It is a particularly sad visit as my diet won't allow lunch at one of Austin ' s finer cocinas. Maybe I'll bump into George P. Bush.

It's plain and simple
In TX it's political office and a stepping stone to other offices. The qualifications are the ability to attract votes.
