Looked like a typical Sunday afternoon drive through the country to me.
No wonder people get killed every year. Stupid people at every corner crazy crazy. I wonder if they would stand so close if the knew how close to out of control they really are.
Those Subaru turbo's are nuts. My buddy has the station wagon version of one and when floored, it'll still sink you in the seat well after 90 mph.
I don't know how to embed videos, but search for "rendezvous 1976 film". It is a pretty wild ride through paris. It has been on utube for along time, you probably have already watched it, but if not it's worth the time. It was filmed illegally without any permits.
Those cars are pretty fast if you are willing to push them.
I cut my teeth driving back country dirt roads for fun. Full size truck with healthy small block. Needless to say I can drift most any rig around corners. The all wheel drive would be hard to get used to though.

The actual camera car was a Mercedes Benz with Ferrari sounds dubbed over.
It is a fantastic video though, both from a visual and audio perspective.
That video above, you really have to respect the car control of the drivers. One small wrong move.
Makes me wonder if Kimi Raikonnen is really going to be happy in Nascar. I can see the jump from F1 to Rally but to Nascar? Well, Montoya seems to be happy.

Gunny..
It's pretty easy. The first thing you need to do is get the embed code from the video, there is usually a radio button at the bottom of the videos that has code choices. The embed code you want looks like this . Copy that code.
When you are posting here there are choices on the right hand side of the posting box. Choose Flash and paste the code into the box and click on Insert Flash Video then just do a preview. If it's fine, post it.
Hope this helps
The code for the OP video is the last embed code choice. Use old embed code
thanks that just took the fun out of it for me.

I'll give that a try next time. Do you need to log in? Part of the issue is that I'm on my phone and appear to have fewer options because of that. It always goes to my utube app when I activate the link. Jrl

When viewing a video using that app, is there an embed code choice? Just play around with it once you get hold of the code it's just pasting it into a box in the Beerleg posting options.
BTW..You wont be able to get an embed code from watching one that's posted here, you have to go to the video source, i.e. You Tube and get the code from there.

I right clicked on the video at the beginning of this thread, chose copy embedded code and pasted into the flash box that popped up for this post.

Thanks for the tip on right clicking a posted video.
Sorry about that, I am a car guy and this topic was heavily discussed many years ago, for the longest time it was thought to be a legitimate video. The producer finally came clean and admitted what he did, providing pictures of the camera setup on the Mercedes. If you saw the camera and the mount you would quickly realize there was no way to mount all that on a Ferrari.
Here, I will make it up to you.
This series of Video's are real. Some of the police stuff is staged be the driving is real.
I don't speak German
But I think I know what the driver says at 0:32

Use of American colloquialisms in German
All clear, I flew off the road, (I think he says the name of the turn) left, F%@* 'A'.
It's made to seem all the more dramatic by placing the camera very low to the ground - as he passes other cars, you can see that the camera's only around bumper-level.
Is it really racing afterall??
You wonder if they are really racing........
