Stopped at the Goodbee quick stop yesterday morning for a coffee to go.
Started going there in 1986 with survey crew for cold drinks, coffee and snacks.
Through the years, they sold spicy pickled quail eggs in a pint jar made by a local.
Always a big treat in the survey rig.
While leaving, this Tonka truck pulled up.
Pretty impressive. It was an older guy driving to my surprise.
Btw...the new management is a Muslim couple/family. I guess they found their spot in rural Louisiana. I hope they continue selling the local

I hope so too. My local quick stop is owned by a Thai gent and his wife. Hardworking folks for sure. The ethnic origin of owners of independent convenience stores has truly become a clich̩ in the last twenty years.

I stopped the other day at convenience store and there was a 'white' guy behind the register...I turned and ran out the door convinced the place was getting robbed...;)

btw - I don't guess you'd ever lose a truck that color in the woods.
