A long story made short.
Boudreaux is in the Army and has been assigned to work as a recruiter. One of his tasks is to attempt to sell life insurance policies to the new recruits. His success rate was astounding so his superior secretly listened in to find out why Boudreaux did so well. What he overheard amounted to:
Ya kin take da policy da Army's gonna gib ya an' yer benefishisary gits $100,000 from da gubmit if ya die. Or ya kin pay $30 per month fer a special policy. Den, if ya die, yer benefishisary gits $400,000 from da gubmit. Lotta udder soldiers don't buy da special policy. But, who ya dink da gubmit gonna send ta war first?
Boudreaux's momma didn't raise a dummy.
