Yesterday, I posted
Tomorrow, I will post a list of collectible survey books of the antiquarian variety
I will not be posting these books today and I decided not to let go of some of the older (19th century) books upon advice from a friend.
Also, I need to prepare the list and photos.
I am thinking of another format to offer the books for sale to give everyone a fair chance.
And, to make it easier on myself, I will post them in a few lots to avoid multiple trips to the UPS or USPS. This time of the year that may not be a very jolly experience.
I am thinking of doing a loose silent auction through email with NO offers accepted in the thread. There would be an ending time which would be dictated by the last email offer. But I will give it more thought. Maybe one can bid on an individual book or the lot. I will try to arrange the lot items to be relevant with each other.
I will try to prepare this weekend but there is a lot going on here besides the holiday preparations of tree and house lights etc.
Thanks,
Robert,
According to some USPS ads on TV, they have a way to contact them via the internet or phone (I don't know which), and will pick up from your home or business rather than you having to go to the Post Office.
I have not personally tried it.
The local Rouse's Supermarket here in Cov. has a USPS mini branch at the service desk.
So it may come in handy.
That is true. You must setup an account at the govt USPS web site. Then you can print lables showing prepaid postage and request pickup. I does work and saves you time/gas. You can also request priority boxes delivered or just pick those up at the PO. No extra costs at all.
UPS has a pickup charge, or at least they did a coupla years ago.
