Boise State romped over Lousiana Tech tonight by a score of 49-20.
Boise State is now a 7-0 team.
Problem is LA Tech is now a 3-5 team.
Before the win BSU's opponents had a combined 18-27 record or 0.4000.
Now the Bronco's opponents have a combined 21-32 record or 0.3962.
A drop in strength of schedule of 0.0038.
Problem is BSU was # 3 in the BCS with a computer ranking difference of 0.0013 over # 4 TCU. So Boise State by winning this game could put itself statistically behind TCU in the BCS, moving down to # 4.
The only saving grace is that with the game on a Tuesday Boise State has almost a whole week to lobby the person poles that they have again been screwed by the system.

When TCU beats 1-6 UNLV this week their computer rankings will drop below Boise State again. Boise State gains because the computers will not recompute and few of the people polers will ever know where Boise State stands.
The future looks grimmer for TCU, since they can only pick up 4 more wins over UNLV, Utah 7-0, San Diego State 5-2 and New Mexico 0-7.
Things are brighter for Boise State who can pick up 5 more wins possibly go over 0.500 on strength of schedule; Hawaii 6-2, Idaho 4-3, Fresno Stae 5-2, Nevada 6-1 and Utah State 2-5.

And you can probably guarantee TCU wins over UNLV, SD state and NM, but Utah is a different story and will be a tough game for both teams. Boise St has two tough teams left to play, but they should beat them (Hawaii & Nevada). Good chance those two teams could be ranked by the time they play BS.
