We all know how tough the economy has been on surveying. This is spring break week for my kids and we did not have money to spend on travel. So today my wife and I took 6 of our kids to a free movie downtown and to pick up Lunchables and other treats at the grocery store on the way home. As we wandered through the store, we decide to do all the grocery shopping. My wife takes her time, stopping to talk to people as she likes to do and the kids and I just keep grabbing things off the shelves. I did not say no to most of what they wanted, because this was part of our spring break fun. One women my wife talks to briefly comments on what a nice family we have. Well we get to the self check-out and this same lady comes over and asks if she can help. She talks with my wife as they scan the items and the kids and I bag it all. As I walk away with the $627.00 worth of stuff I look back and this nice lady is swiping her card to pay. YES, some Godly woman payed for our $627.00 of groceries. When my wife tried to tell her no, she said God will bless her ten fold. I pray he does. Thank You, nice lady.
Just wanted to share the good news on this snowy Friday in Michigan.

$627 of groceries? How large is your family?

9 kids, some biological, some adopted from foster care. It is a lot of work, but worth it. We still have a few empty seats in the 15 passenger van, so who knows what the future holds. But the groceries are getting expensive. One of my sons likes to hunt, gardening and gleaning helps.

Admirable. Doesn't leave much time for golf, does it?

I'm sure it's a roller coaster, but fulfilling.

Awesome! sometimes you do reap what you have sowed, and when you do, it is good!
