The whole "like" thing is a bit disconcerting to me. I understand that a "like" is a sort of shorthand way of acknowledging either agreement with the content of the post or some level of appreciation that the post was made for the benefit of others. But, my goal in life is not to accumulate "likes". My goal is to be helpful, in some way, to others when I can. Sometimes that involves attempts at humor. Sometimes that involves serious business or skills that relate directly to others doing similar work to my own. Sometimes it means being a bit aggressive at warning others to avoid some of the pitfalls I have experienced or witnessed through the decades. I do not expect all of my posts to be "liked" by anyone. Sometimes they can appear to be downright mean. But, sometimes you must overstress a point to get someone else's attention. This is a fantastic source of information for everyone who discovers its existence. It will continue to be fantastic whether or not I ever make another post. I will not be that kid on the playground that grabs his ball and goes home because his playground buddies aren't playing the way he thinks they should.
