I didn't know whether to post this under humor, B/F or General...
Bank of America wrongfully sues couple. Couple counter sues for lawyers fees, etc., court agrees. Bank of America ignores order, almost gets branch office foreclosed on.
That's an awesome story. Thanks for posting.
BTW, that lawyer mentioned, David Stern, used to the be the foreclosure king in Florida. He was doing so well he had his law office publically listed on the NASDAQ. But, he screwed up so many foreclosures that banks stopped using him, his stock price plummeted and got delisted, and he recently announced he's closing shop.
The banks are out of control. About time they get some of what they have been dishing out.
:good:

That is how I understand it also. That's why I found this article so juicy. I only wish the branch manager would have hemmed and hawed longer and they would have shown the deputies and movers clearing money drawers and removing computers. It shows you gonna play the game both ways. It shows you gotta play both sides of the ball evenly... You can't only play offense (using the courts for foreclosures) and ignore defense (ignoring court and judges orders). I wish the couple that sued would have also gotten punitives for distress.
