I wonder if they will garner all the #1 votes today. They were dominating over a pretty good team but the win by Oregon impressed me a lot more yesterday in defeating a very good Standford team. Okay, maybe not more but at least as much. Could Bama slow down the speedy Ducks? That question just might get answered in the last game of the year.

A few will drop off the charts and unfortunately LPL's beloved Penn State will likely be among them. Even USC is in danger of falling off the rolls today. Texas will fall out of the polls the first time that I can remember.

The lesson of yesterday is one that I've been telling the LSU folks ever since they hired Les Smiles. I think he is a good coach in most games except in the last several minutes. It's like he has no idea of time management. He should hire a 2:00 minute coordinator or something. He costs my Pokes a lot of winnable games with his confusion in the waning moments. LSU dodges a bullet yesterday and in my opinion all do to coaching.

There are still several unbeaten teams not on the charts so these should start replacing the big names that now have a loss or two.

Yikes.

Don't be saying stuff like that after five games. The Ducks usually throw in a clunker of a game in November anyway.

BTW
Nothing like waking up to this headline when you're on a 5:00 PM flight to Frankfurt 🙁

Well James. The Ducks looked mighty impressive yesterday. It would hard not to consider them a front runner now. I think the clash of styles between them and Bama would make a very interesting game.

It's just so hard to trust them again when they've broke my heart so many times in the past 😉

You should trying being an Okie State fans. So often the bridesmaid but I love them anyway. The Big 12 is going to start eating their own from here on out. I think Nebraska has K-State this week and I may go with K-State. They are a lot better than anyone thinks this year.

I suppose it could be worse. I could be a Georgia Bulldog fan this year. 🙁 They lost to Colorado yesterday.

Keep your head down Jim and just act like a Canadian.

I keep telling ya... Bama is the class of the FBS this year. They will go undefeated and beat whoever you put in front of them in January.

I really cratered yesterday. My only winning picks were at the very bottom of my confidence points. It's a good thing no money is involved in this thing.

I miss that show. Bob & Doug were just wacky and fun to watch.

Go BEER Dog!

Just toss in the occasional eh at the end of a sentence and call several folks hosers. You'll do fine.

Try living here where everyone eats sleeps and breathes either the Ducks or the Beavs. And...when these two teams play each other...Look out!! Civil war erupts in the entire state!! Our little city goes nuts!! Although I think we have more Beaver fans here than Ducks being we're 23 miles from Corvallis. Probably the only football game I'll ever watch too. 😛

OSU is a bit better of a sport, though, than U of O. The Ducks have been known to be quite the poor sports when they don't get their way. Just read some of last years headlines. 😐

The center looked up at clock and saw 2 seconds, and he snapped the ball, which hit Jordan Jefferson on the hands, but Jefferson wasn't even looking. Had it not been for the center, we'd have not gotten a play off. Jordan is just as bad as the coaching staff when it comes to staying attuned to the game. I saw it twice last year in situations like this. In Capital One Bowl he let 23 seconds run off clock when we could have won in last 23 seconds.
