I just loaded my ATV in the back of a pickup for the first time in almost 10 years. I much prefer hauling the ATV on a trailer. I was rather uneasy walking the ATV up the ramps while walking beside it.
I always haul the ATV on a trailer, but tomorrow I am meeting a friend to pick up a trailer that I let him borrow while his was being repaired. I am meeting him at a jobsite, and then unloading my ATV, and using it for a few tasks, then hauling it back home on the trailer.
What do you prefer? I have been pulling trailers my whole life, even when working around the farm before I was driving on public roads. It is like second nature to me.
Doesn't matter to me.
I would probably prefer to haul in my Tacoma.
I use a trailer because the Tacoma bed is full of tools and supplies.
I use the trailer because of the camper shell and all the stuff inside. My trailer tilts so loading and unloading is much easier. It only weighs 462 lbs so I can pull it behind the the 4 wheeler on the job.
The only advantage to hauling it in the truck would be trying to find a place to turn around on a narrow road.

Both! Trailer for long distances (takes weight off of truck which is pushing 10,000 with the ATV in the back) and storage (enclosed trailer), BUT if I need to move a few miles on a project, I often load the ATV in the truck. In fact often I drive the truck until the road goes bad and then unload and finish on the ATV, I don't want to be beating the trailer up or trying to find a place to turn it around in those cases. Remember this is western states with rough, rocky, steep and narrow goat paths many times.
The first few times into the truck can be a bit scary, BUT haven't run off the ramps yet and I ride it both on and off, should measure the angle on my ramps sometime, BUT I think it is around 40°-45°, a ditch or road bank is always helpful!

I do both. If I am going to look at a job I usually haul it in the back of the truck. If I am going to do work a good distance away from the truck I will use a trailer. I take the ATV off of the trailer then hook up the traier to the back of the ATV allowing me to haul extra people and supplies.
Could have sworn the subject line read: ATM in truck on on trailer?
Are you so scared to carry cash that you have to have your own ATM.
Guess I better get the rest of my brain energized before trying to do any serious work.
My niece took the back window out of her truck while loading her ATV. 😀
Your Bovine Holiness,
Is the ATM on a trailer in the truck or is the ATM in the truck and the whole shebang on a trailer?
I need coffee.
Have a great week! B-)
Tilt bed trailer, tied down with light chains and small load binders. No room in the pickup and I don't want a high center of gravity. My ATV is a side by side.

Rhino and a Ranger.
Not much choice - it has to be on a trailer.
Ranger also - trailer is a must. had a crew chief with an ATV, so we had purchased the Diamondback cover to carry on top - was a bit scary/hairy the first few times ramping it up top of the bed, ended up using a trailer most often for ATV also.
we usually park the pickup and trailer at the base set up, use Ranger from there.
I used the ATV on a trailer for almost 10 years. I just purchased a Bulldog this year, and absolutely love it. It goes on the trailer also.
This morning was the first time I have taken the ATV on a job since buying the Bulldog. It would have been on the trailer, if I had not had to pull one back to the office.
I generally park the truck and trailer at a nice base point/area, and use the Bulldog or ATV from there. It is so much better than carrying everything, and saves a tons of steps, and the back as well.
