I've got some friends in Muskogee, Ok. that need to make a funeral in Westminster (Denver area) Co., by Monday in the middle of the morning.
The quickest route is I35 thru Wichita to Salina, then west to Denver. Doesn't look good for travel that way. I40 west to I25 is probably a better route, but that can add 3 or 4 hours to the length of the trip.
Anybody out there in Kansas that could give me a "real" idea of the weather and the roads?
If you watch the tv, the news folks make it sound like page 12 or 13 of the Book of Revelations...
Fairly decent here, but Northwest Kansas is rapidly shutting down. I-70 is closed from WaKeeney all the way to Denver. I'd head for Wichita, then west on US400 to Pueblo, then try to go north.
Father-in-law lives in extreme NW Kansas. Most churches have already announced they won't be holding services tomorrow.
