I put this into a new post for any that have similar issues with Samsung tablets.
I've never been impressed with Samsung's Note 10.1 ability to handle web sites.
I'd tried Samsung keyboard and Swiftkey, and a couple of others, but none gave any relief.
The text would jump about and skip back a line or more, ending up anywhere.
I decided to put my Tablet back to factory and start again.
It was business as usual. Hopeless.
I then installed Thumb keyboard and Eureka!
I can type, edit and insert and it just keeps on keeping on.
Just to prove the point I set Samsung as default, and my woes returned.
Thumb Keyboard, whilst not as super predictive as Swiftkey, is highly customisable, more so for survey use.
I haven't found one like it.
You can set up custom keys to load in whole paragraphs if needed.and key combos as shortcuts.
° ' and “ can all be in easy reach, along with other useful symbols, abbreviations etc.
Thanks for sharing,
will try Thumb on my 7" Nexus.
I Always found typing on tablets a PITA.
Chr.
Cool I'll give it a shot
As mentioned Swiftkey really has it nailed for predictions though.
Its not long and it learns your diction. Its amazing.
I only wish Thumb keyboard was like minded.
Hopefully it may, with time get a hold of my way.
But overall. In web sites its indispensable and for technically oriented reports etc the customization can be the winner.
Richard,
is there a free Thumb version to test with, I only see a paid version in my play store.
Chr.
I don't know Chris.
I bought it a couple years ago.
Certainly doesn't look like it from my end, which seems odd.
