If you get to the windows login page, try control-alt-delete, that may bring up the password login box.

Wow! That's not much of an update.?ÿ ??ÿ

If it were my PC, I would would take out your mouse and keyboard adaptors then shut it down. Turn it back on - allow it to fully boot with the adaptors out - then plug them back in and see if the PC acknowledges a new device. I know that sounds kinda' simple.

I have heard there is a way to roll back Win 10 updates. I have no idea how to do it without use of the mouse or keyboard though.

Perhaps starting up in "safe mode" will allow use of generic drivers.

If memory serves, I think I've heard that there is a way to postpone driver updates until they are "proven safe"

When our beloved Win 10 was first introduced, I remember many "pundits" were not fond of it. At all. Now, a couple years later, it seems that all those who were against Win 10 are now magically in love with it. And I can't figure out why myself. Win 10 seems to break more than it fixes and throws ads at us.

"Perhaps starting up in "safe mode" will allow use of generic drivers."

That's the problem, it will only boot to the choose your keyboard screen, and disable all usb input devices.

I have a Surface 4 pro which upgraded without any glitches. IMO Microsoft broke it and they need to issue a fix.

(Note to self: you friggin' idiot Microsoft will deny it's their problem)?ÿ ??ÿ

I remember at least one instance (I'm sure there were quite a few more) where our dear MS was sued and lost. Or at least settled, don't remember which for sure.

MS "upgraded" a woman business owner's computer to 10 and broke everything. She lost a few days of business due to not having a working computer, completely MS's fault.

One of my computers at home, MS updated it and broke a few things. I got some of them squared away, but am scared to do any updates. And MS (in their finite wisdom) disabled stopping updates. I have been tempted to wipe the computer and go right back to 7 when the computer worked Great.

One thing that works for me, and I'll share this as a use it at your own risk, I store critical data off of the computer on Thumb drives:

Boot the computer.?ÿ AS its booting, push power button and power down.?ÿ Do this 3 times(or as many time as necessary to get the dos Bios "Whats happening" )dialouge started.?ÿ Windows 10 will go into "crisis" mode, and do a quick self check.?ÿ Here is where you can decide to continue to boot, or start windows from a previous back up.?ÿ In May 2018, they released a crap update (1803) that totally blew up lots of peoples laptops, desktops etc.

Once back into the windowsX normal boot, go to settings and UNINSTALL UPDATES, specifically the (1803) update.?ÿ And select to not install any updates automatically.

This was the only that worked for me, i didn't kill the HD( and this potentially could) and was able to disable WindowsX from doing its stupid install junk for the time being.?ÿ

That being said, good luck, and for the record, I took a new laptop from the HP family and gave it a rapid acceleration in the opposite vector test after wasting 100hrs trying to troubleshoot it.?ÿ Computer died, glass flew, HD, was unscathed.?ÿ Shocking actually.?ÿ?ÿ 37 years usage of computers has hardened my view of them..........

?ÿ

I had the same problem yesterday.?ÿ I used the alt-ctrl-delete and restarted.?ÿ It then started normal, but when I tried to sign-in it restarted and rolled back to the previous version.?ÿ This morning it loaded a program and then started normal.?ÿ I'm not sure if overnight it reloaded the program and them worked normal.?ÿ The Windows 10 features update was the one that gave me the problem.?ÿ Windows 10 is a piece of C__P.

"?ÿWindows 10 is a piece of C__P."

Windows 10 works fine for me, it's the damn updates that screw up the drivers, connections to peripherals etc. I still don't know why MS can access your computer at their convenience without permission.?ÿ ? ?ÿ
