Well this could be the closest we get to having a beer monopoly if SABMiller accepts the bid:

Aside from the monopoly they will have on price, which they could set at whatever they wanted, then what incentive would they have to do any advertising? Gone will be the competing sponsorships in just about everything most particular motorsports.
Heard this report on NPR yesterday.
The NA, Asian and European market is tapped out. (Pun intended)
The merger is to move in the SA and African markets which are the only future global areas of beer consumption.
Like Joe N said....support your local breweries, there are 2 local breweries here. Plus our neighborhood market has close to 150 varieties of beer both domestic and imported.
