All P&R fanatics should take note that it is possible to ask a question for which a yes or no answer is appropriate.

No

yes, but with major caveats.

I only watch pro football to keep up with what is going on because I enjoy the sport of football immensely. However, I do NOT cheer for any particular pro team(s) anymore for a multitude of reasons. I certainly do not spend ANY money on any team, nor do I support "official products" or "partners" or "sponsors" of the nfl either.

Basically, if the lockout had gone on for a year or two, I wouldn't have lost a single second of sleep over it.

I understand.
I only watch the Saints and a few other games, but I always try to catch all the college games I can.

I catch all I can on TV on Saturdays if the HOKIES are away, otherwise, I'm fairly ensconced into whatever is going on on campus at VT.

Yes

Looks to be a year of out with the old and in with the new.....that is usually why organizations go on strike.

Yes.

Based on the past few years, I fully expect my Chargers will steam into the playoffs with a dozen or more wins. Or finish right around .500.
If the Chargers aren't on TV, I usually lose interest after the first month until the playoffs start. To many other things to do...

Go Pats.... of course I'm going to watch the Patriots... what kind of question is this? Are people really considering not watching because of the stupid strike/lock out?

David, I'll disagree with you on that one... and as far as I know I'll be there for the game. I actually started at Marshall in the fall of 1986, but didn't finish, but they'll always hold a special place in my heart.... much more so than WVU.

Maybe we can get a tailgate beer together.

Don,

I'm don't get all emotionally invested in business that only takes, takes, takes. The owners hold the cities and fans hostage, and demand that the muni's pay for so much without as much return as they promise. I can say that I am 100% sure that Daniel Snyder, owner of the Washington Redskins single handedly made me hate most pro sports, and all pro owners... except the Green Bay owners, of course.
