My Verizon phone went through the wash and dryer and did not survive. Verizon wanted to "upgrade" me, by charging me for a replacement phone and extending my contract. I have actually been trying to get out from under the contract for over a year. It just so happens that my contract period was up, so I canceled and bought a Jitterbug phone. No contract, plans starting at 14.99, very good service with a real person on tap (no more computer phone hell) and a nice large legible screen and simple intuitive keyboard. What a concept. I now pay the same as the Verizon plan, and get twice as many free minutes, with rollover minutes to boot. Think I will dance a jig or break out into the oh-yah shuffle.
