Yes, life after surveying is really hard some times but some of use have to deal with it.
Last night was a trip over to a town called Davis, Oklahoma to help run the door and security at the event. We were the away team but the Arbuckle team needed some help. So , although it was a hard decision, then I offered up my services.
I had a good local partner at the door. Only the two of us working the door.
But before the bout I had to endure watching the stretching exercises. Just brutal to watch.
And the event was held in a smaller place , the Arbuckle Ballroom so the distance from the skaters to the people watching was very short. And yes, a few people got nailed in their chairs.
Here was the sign though as you came in.
So everyone had ample warnings.
Lot's of fun last night and lot's of pictures. Me with a few of the ladies.
And my favorite with Aprobitie. Usually wears her hair in braids and is like the ultimate pippi longstocking. Oh me.
It was a great night.
You can retire and live but you just have to find something else to get involved with to keep the vibes goings.
I know that these groups do a lot of charitable work in their communities. You are a better man for helping them.
:good:
That they do Tim. Fund raisers all the time for Shelters for Battered Women, Habitats for Humanity, Fans for those without A/C and all sort of other promotions. I'm happy to be a part of the team.
Pure awesomeness, it looks like you were really working hard there Deral, you are to be commended for being such a good samaritan!
Deral from the first picture it looks like the lady took one for you. Do you have workmen comp or at least get a steak to put on it? LOL
>......... I'm happy to be a part of the team.
I was eating some pizza the other day for lunch and there was a flyer for the Dallas Derby Devils up in the restaraunt. I thought about your many posts, and we were looking for something to do the other night so I went to the DDD's website to see if there was anything going on around here. Every body involved from the girls to the announcers, the referees, team medics, and the security had really funny made up names. What is your made up name when you are working the security? TM just seems so "plain" for a derby girl guard =)
I sense a contest. What is Deral's roller derby nom de guerre?
Suggestions cheerfully considered.

From what we can see in this post, I think it is fair to say, being a surveyor and not a doctor, that Deral is not evidencing any aspects of heart disease.
Just sayin'.
Oh, this sounds like fun

Floyd. No hits from me. The eyes were part of the event. Here is there event flyer. All their team had them.
And before the event while I was waiting to travel I made some yard bricks for them to raffle at their next event.
And another friend who came to the door to get a photo. And no, the leg casts were not from a roller derby incident. She had some surgery.
Great fun but the place's A/C could not keep up and it was over 100 inside the building. Very hot but at least I was not skating.
