We are working in SW CT. We are proposing 3 buildings, not much over 6,000 Sq. Ft. total on a 4 acre site. We are proposing parking, septic, some grading...basically your typical improvements for a site...nothing to outlandish.

There are no wetlands on site (as per the soil scientist), yet the town requires a $16,000 application fee to the Wetlands department anyway....to process the application. Its in their regulations. I wish I had 'regulations' like that.

"'Today's ruling says the Fifth Amendment protects landowners from government extortion, whether the extortion is for money or any other form of property,' said lawyer Paul J. Beard II, of the Pacific Legal Foundation, which handled the Supreme Court case on behalf of Koontz."
