I was aware that there were elections for County Surveyors, but I was not aware of them being partisan races. They actually had a Democratic primary to see who was going to run for County Surveyor on the Democrat ticket? What exactly differentiates a Republican Surveyor Candidate from a Democratic one?

Here in Florida, I am not aware of any elected county surveyors. Usually they are just a surveyor hired by the county engineering departments.

County Surveyors are elected in Indiana and are not required to be licensed.
