The couple should get their money back from the party(s) in fault, sell their land and build their dream home in a different community.
Some of the comments to this story are unbelievable. It really shows how little people know about subdivision regulations. Half of the people seem to be blaming the surveyor, and the story doesn't even say that there was a survey performed. It sounds like there probably was not.
