Just to be sure, this is just another committee, right? I remember reading that for this to become law, it will still have to go through 1 more committee (3 total), then to the full house for a vote, then to the full state senate for another vote, then get signed by the governor. We got off early in the process. Correct me if I'm wrong. The interior designers have one more committee to make their case, then have to work on the reps directly for a "No" vote.

BTW, when I was at UF my wife tried to get into their interior design program. It's kind of like architecture for remodels, where structural elements have to be considered. It was a popular program and not easy to get into, my wife got rejected, even though she had an AS. You needed seriously good grades to into that program. I feel for those people, they worked hard to get where they are at, too. This bill is going to ruin people.

As for the hair braiders, etc., their license was a compromise after the licensed barbers and hair stylists tried to stop unlicensed businesses from braiding and wrapping hair. I wonder what the next move will be. Will anyone be allowed to braid hair as a business, or are the licensed hair stylists going to go back to trying to stop these businesses.

Yes, that is correct. Always better to get out early in a game of musical chairs. I think the interior designers are the last ones standing. (that had any kind of a case).
