We pay 100% of employee insurance. $25/copay $1000/deductible with blue cross-blue shield. Very good insurance.

This is with around 30 employees.

We're about to offer insurance for the first time and the cheapest quote I have gotten so far in NY for family insurance (with 3 employees on the plan) is about $1600 a month per employee. We've gotten three quotes so far...working on more.

FWIW, when we offered the health bennie to our employees, our "Blue" HMO was approaching $1200/mo. for employee/family. We stopped offering the benefit in '03.

$1,600 sounds like a deal.
