I used to read this case as it was posted here with interest. I can't believe that is is still going on, but I guess I'm not surprised that it is still going on.

What burns me is that I don't believe that either side intended to settle this from the start, which doomed the surveyor from the beginning. Both sides intended to continue to battle for their interests regardless of who is actually correct.

The boarder is what it is, have a surveyor determine the boundary. Then have him present all of those findings to a impartial panel of 5 SURVEYORS who will accept all or part of that boundary, and send t on to some bureaucrat to rubber stamp it.
