Personally, I find this to be inappropriate regardless of the type of service being offered. The goal of such an organization is to work together to promote business in general in their community. To use it as a forum to spike competition amongst members is very inappropriate, in my opinion. Cooperation, not competition.

My take is that having my competition being busy doing free work, is good business for me. I like paying clients, he can have the ones that don't pay.
