I divide my work life between developing RTK / NTRIP applications (such as the SNIP NTRIP Caster which our firm makes) and developing next generation standards for advanced automotive technologies (DSRC, autonomous vehicles, intelligent highways). I am active on a number of standards groups as a result of this (SAE, IEEE, RTCM, NMEA, NEMA, ISO etc.), and support a number of CORS networks, and reside in the greater Los Angeles area. I am also the chairman of the NTRIP standards group under RTCM. I am not a formally trained surveyor, but know a few good folks who are.
