About Me
Land surveyor in solo practice in Tucson, Arizona, commercial ALTA surveys only. Residential surveys only as a favor to someone.
Originally from St. Lambert and Longueuil, both Montreal suburbs, then moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1955 when it was the perfect place to be. Moved to Arizona in 1978 because I love the desert.
Devoted husband to Vicki, who thinks I'm wonderful. Bailey (the dog) loves her daddy. Kat (the cat) tolerates me.
Five offspring: Debby (Oklahoma), Cathy (Maine), Joe (Tucson), Pam (Florida), and Bruce (Tucson). Six grandkids.
Favorite activity is hiking the Grand Canyon, down to the river and back the same day. Second favorite is sitting on the rim, wishing I were hiking the canyon.
Favorite non-activity: Sitting on the balcony overlooking Rosario Bay on Orcas Island, watching the waves go by. Second favorite is sitting on the balcony overlooking the Animas River in Durango, Colorado, watching the waves go by. Third favorite is sitting on the balcony on Kauai, feeding the friendly birds by hand.
Favorite saying, from The Promoter (1951), starring Alec Guiness: Ah, but you see I did do something, Simeon. I thought of it.
Favorite movies: The Promoter, and The Third Man.
Favorite TV shows: The Amazing Race, and Survivor. Vicki and I have a rule that we can only watch TV while we are exercising, so the big TV is in front of the equipment.
Favorite brain activity: New York Times Sunday crossword.
