About Me
I started a part time land surveying business in 2017. I missed the history and math that land surveying involved. I work on rural and urban boundary surveys.
I joined the Iowa DOT in the Photogrammetry Office in August 2015. I work with Hexagon and MicroStation software to compile aerial photography and generate terrains. I work with LiDAR and point cloud data.
I am currently learning about AcrGIS and have taken ArcGIS 1: Introduction to GIS and ArcGIS 2 : Essential Workflows.
I began my career in Civil Engineering Technologies in 2000. I obtained my Associates in Applied Science Degree from DMACC in Boone, IA in 2002.
I have performed numerous CAD and surveying task. I have worked with MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D. I have worked on various types of projects like swimming pool and tennis court designs, bridge and road designs, developing subdivisions, Airport Layout Plans for the FAA just to mention a few.
In 2012 I passed the Professional Exam for Land Surveying in Iowa.
In 2014 I became a certified ICCSPPI Inspector.
