@louis-phillips?ÿ

Ahh, I saw the post and didn't pay attention to the title. My model 1 is awesome, but you probably want a 2 in the swamp.?ÿ

If you are going new, go with the R12i.?ÿ I'll keep my R10-2's, but really like the R12i as a rover.

If you find a R10-2, see if it has updated software to a R12.

Can you tell by serial number if it’s the version 1 or 2?

Don’t get caught up in the Version 1 and Version 2 trap, it can be costly.  My understanding is Version 1 and Version 2 are MODEL 1 units, NOT MODEL 2.  Version 1 and Version 2 Model 1 units are 440 channel and can not be upgraded to R12 specs like the R10M2.  If you don’t know exactly what you’re looking at consult with someone who does.

That being said, R10M1 base, R12 rover is no slouch.
