Bulk registrations are a no-no

NOTE: INTENTIONAL BULK REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE COUNTED TOWARD THE 1,000-USER GOAL. (In fact, we'll ban anyone attempting to do so).

We're watching you! We can see where you are coming from and multiple registrations intended to increase our user numbers unnaturally will not be counted. So, in the coming days/weeks, you may see the registered users number decrease if we see some bogus registrations come in.

The intent here is NOT to create a bunch of bogus user accounts here on our forum. The intent is to simply give away some cool stuff to someone for a cool event. Bulk registrations will not be taken lightly. Spammer accounts are created occasionally and are just part of the organic growth of any popular web site, and those are retained simply for the sake of blocking them (in other words, they've always been counted and always will be). That said, if a bunch of spammer accounts are created within a short period of time, those will be taken into account as bulk registrations.

Just to be clear, we do not have any record of your guesses other than in this thread. I have not specifically looked at your guesses so I really don't know who guessed what. The reason I am telling you this is so you understand that there is no bias, and I am counting user registrations as I always have and when we reach our 1,000 mark using these same methods is when we'll determine the winner.

We want to maintain the integrity of our user registrations as much as is humanly possible. I'd rather have 1,000 legitimate users than 10 million spammers, bulk registrations, etc.
