Topcon 823a, Carlson and satel radios
Just got a topcon 823a with the satel radios and I am trying to hook it up to my Carlson explorer2 with surv ce 2.5. Can anyone help me with the radios settings? I have tried all buttons, the gun finds its radios and the carlson finds it's radios but the to will not conect. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

yes, I have everything on my DC.
Are you able to change the channel of the data-collector radio through SurvCE? Do this in Instrument Setup, on the COMMS tab. There should be a configure button to the right of where you have Device set to Satel 3as (or 2as??). If you can use this button to change the channel, you know the data collector is talking to it's radio. Then you can set the channel of the radio connected to the Topcon through the total station (or switch out the radios, and use SurvCE to program the other one too). Once they match, make sure you are running the Topcon Robotic driver in SurvCE, and make sure you are in Program->External Link mode on the Topcon. That should be all it takes to get it working.
