Quote from Seymore Bush on August 20, 2013, 5:05 am> Looks downright inviting during a dry summer month. Probably not quite as nice in a wet, slick, freezing-cold winter month.
Even better then! Sisters is an upscale winter resort town, and Hoodoo, up US 20, is quite the little ski hill.
Almost met my end up there though. Towing a 34' Montana 5th wheel and misjudged the snowfall higher up. I jacked when my drive wheels broke loose and crept to a turnout to chain up. As I pulled out with steamed windows, I almost pulled in front of an 18-wheeler empty flatbed who had to keep his foot in it so he wouldn't jackknife his light rig going up the hill like I had just done. I passed him at the turnout on top of Tombstone Pass and apologized on the radio. He didn't answer. He was probably sweating bullets from PTSD and changing his boxers at the time...
That was about as close as I've ever come to splattering that rig all over the road, except the time Wyoming, in its wisdom, decided to salt I-80 in a -10 below ground blizzard....But that's another story...:'(

Since I've got to leave for work, here is another hint (once the Orygun surveyors wake up they'll be all over this so I want to give the out-of-staters a head start)

Must be a case of the the pic being reversed such that the mountain on the left should be the mountain on the right. Plus, right-handed people normally keep their writing utensil in a left-side pocket and the wrist watch on the left arm.

Don't go buying that beer just yet. I've somehow managed to be no closer than about Logan, Utah to the fair State of Oregon in all my years. So, it will probably be some time before I come knocking at your door looking for that beer.
