Happy Independence Day!
Quote from Wendell on July 4, 2019, 5:00 pmWishing you all a great 4th of July celebration in hopes that we all remember why we are celebrating. That seems to be a pretty safe bet with this crowd though! 🙂

I'd be happy to catch some young punk trying to steal my hubcaps.?ÿ I'd probably offer him a job.?ÿ ;)?ÿ

Quote from a-harris on July 8, 2019, 2:19 pmMy family arrived for the weekend and while wet from my sprinkler on Saturday, my grandkids spent the afternoon blowing up paper towel and toilet tissue tubes by the score and a couple of spiderman figures around the driveway and yard.?ÿ
Everyone jumped, including pets, every time one went pop.
Gone was the BlackCat and M80 sounds of the past.

A few years ago I was up in Missouri and stopped at a year-round fireworks outlet.?ÿ It was out in the middle of nowhere and my antique bladder needed a rest.?ÿ I was surprised to see they had M-80s for sale there so I grabbed a half dozen.
When I got home to test my bounty I was disappointed with their wimpy explosion.?ÿ I don't think they put as much "good stuff" in them as they used to...I might be wrong with my memory just playing tricks on me...but I really don't think so.
It just goes to show "they don't make them like they used to."?ÿ

A half dozen? You know you can't blow anything up (like the oppositions "secret" tree fort)?ÿ with 6 m-80's. Hell that ain't even a quarter stick of dynamite. I'm sure when the statute of limitations runs out you'll have some interesting yarns about fireworks when you were, ahem, a young lad. ?????ÿ
ps: Hows "Holden" doing? Fine I hope.
