GNSS 1200 configuration base rover

Good morning,

I have a gnss Leica 1200 base rover, and I have a radio communication problem between my base and my rover.

My base consists of a Leica GX1230 GG, an AX 1202 antenna and a Pacific Crest radio.

My rover is made up of an rx 1250 and a GFU 15-2 PACIFIC CREST FIX2 radio on the clipped port.

I am attaching to this message the configuration of my database in case the problem comes from there.

Thanking you in advance for your answers.

Sincerely

Bonjour,

Cordialement

I also add photos of the rover setup.

Radio configuration requires at least 3 different sets of parameters be set on the both the base and rover. First you need to establish direct communication between the receiver and the radio. Next you need to establish inter radio communication protocols and frequencies. Finally, you need to establish the data message type.

It has been a long time since I worked a 1200 system GNSS but I'll try to run you through it. Also, I have

Base setup:

Under Configuration/Interface/Real-time/Edit(f3)

1. Chose the mode as Reference

2. Select your device (f5), in your case I think it would be a PLD but I'm not certain on the type PacificCrest base you are using.

3. Select the receiver port to which the radio will be connected.

4. Edit the device (f3) make sure the communication setting are consistent with those on the radio. This is the direct serial connection between receiver and radio.

5. Select your real time data message (RTCM v3.1 was recommended by Leica). This is the message type.

6. Select Rates (f3). This is were you specify the over the air correction rates as well as various message type specifics that can be left at default.

7. Select Ref (f2) to turn set up a reference ID if desired. This can be used by the rover to verify it is receiving correction data from the correct base. You should also verify that NTRIP is off.

Under Configuration/Interface/Real-time/CNTRL(f4)

8. Select the channel you want to use. The channels are user defined to the radio frequencies you choose. Hopefully your base and rover radios are configured with the same. If not, I think you can do it through the data collector by hitting the shift key but the simulator will not let me play. For other radios, this is also where you would set the transmission protocol the PacificCrest appears to only support 1 type and thus there is not choice.

Rover setup:

Under Configuration/Interface/Real-time/Edit(f3)

1. Chose the mode as Rover.

2. Select your device (f5), in your case I think it would again be a PLD.

3. Select the receiver port to which the radio will be connected, 'Clip-on' in this case.

4. Edit the device (f3) make sure the communication setting are consistent with those on the radio.

5. Select your real time data message you choose for the base

6. Select Rover (f2) to turn set up a reference ID if desired. You should also verify that NTRIP and Ret Network are off.

7. You can specify the reference sensor and antenna type

Hope this helps

Bonjour,
