Found a nice mount for smartphone as data collector
Quote from mark-o on September 24, 2021, 1:22 amJust figured I'd share. I like light and fast. No heavy tablet and I don't want a windows CE data collector. I found my phone works well with a Tackform motorcycle mount for $60, very well made. Surveying data collectors are dinosaurs.?ÿ

Curious what phone you are using and how you deal with rain on the screen? Cover, phone has rain mode etc.

A picture of the setup would be awesome too if you can?

Thanks

This is the setup. Weighs just under 6#'s. Had to use my phone to take the photo. The case contains a 4000mAh battery.

How do you like that S900? I just got a pair of BRx7's and am amazed. I've been doing a lot of under canopy testing based on suggestions found here and the results are great.?ÿ
