At the moment...

....you realize the 3lber is on the truck...

Use your head. ???œ ???œ ???œ

@jitterboogie

We've started calling the TSC7  "a rubber-coated sledgehammer" - you should upgrade your kit...

When that happens and you are a mile or so into boonies, you realize why the OLD P.C. insisted that the "bag" was always checked before you left the hacienda, and again before you left the truck, boat, helicopter, Bush Plane, ATV, whatever!

I learned the hard way like everyone else ???

@jimcox

that was mounted higher out of frame on the top of the bipod, and in the wind we had today was a better sail than a hammer...

I've done worse...

truck was only 275' away, but it's still a pita.

I'm always big on bring more th@n you need, I just placed the 3lber in a non standard location after stopping to pound in a quick no5 and a cap for control.

it's good to suffer occasionally and dial the workflow in a bit.

fun times.

One of the reasons I got the 4 wheeler was because I would walk a half mile through crap to set the fore site/back site and then trudge back to the gun to start shooting only to realize that I left the prism pointing in the wrong direction. Ugh, back through the crap.

@jimcox I'm using that ????  I know I'm in the minority here, but I can't stand that big, clunky DC. Being an office guy, my opinion on that stuff doesn't matter that much and my field guy loves his 7. I keep the old Surveyor2 in my truck though and love it. Call me a simpleton.

@jimcox First time I saw a TSC7 I was sure I had a black & white tv in 1978 with a smaller screen

I've done worse...

I had a prism fall off the rod while knee deep in a "proposed retention pond" which was a mosquito ridden swamp at the time. Was so pissed off I fell over while trying to recover it. That was the end of me ever being in a (potty mouth) "retention pond" again. ????
