@dougie Not just plain old blackberries, but Himalaya blackberries. The kind that grow ten-fifteen feet easily, create their own support system of dead but dreadful canes that scar your arms while you hack through them with your 30" machete. You know the kind of blackberries that you have to chop to small pieces because any dangling part will hook onto your pants, shirt sleeve, vest or worse your hat and stop you in your tracks while you flail away trying to get unstuck. Blackberry vines that when chopped to small pieces can and do get stuck in your shoe rendering any type of movement, painful.  Himalaya blackberry vines have a habit of reaching to that point on your line of sight where they block the prism from view and are just out of reach to remove.  Oh, yes those blackberries that for some reason wasps like to hide their nests in and bald face hornets like to burrow under.   But, this time of year, they taste so sweet....

So funny story.
Im surveying at the airport
Couple of Apaches zip by
circle back and land. Way out on end of runway.

Just sit there.
And sit.
And one takes off.

Apparently
A "piece" fell off the one.

Theyre waiting for a repair guy.
??§????

And then same ol same ol....   🙂

@dougie

Not so fast.  We could say that in NW Oregon a couple of years ago but not now.

@daniel-ralph you make the office sounds much better than hacking through Himalaya Blackberry; I commend you for that.

Preparing to go pull four bars and three 60d nails.?ÿ Some fool can't even draw a city block correctly.?ÿ ƒ??‹? ƒ??‹? ƒ??‹? ƒ??‹??ÿ

?ÿ

Block has 25' x 150' lots and crossing 12' alleys.?ÿ North half of block consists of six lots plus 12' alley plus six more lots.?ÿ 312', right????ÿ Doesn't work too well if you drop half an alley width for a total of 306'.

This is what happens when you turn a PE/LS loose doing draftsman work.?ÿ Going to go stand in front of the mirror and chew him out royally.?ÿ Probably dock his pay while I'm at it.?ÿ I'd fire him but then no one would be left to answer the phone.

Here's another airport picture.?ÿ In the background you can see the Antonov on the left, and the skyline of San Francisco on the right.?ÿ This was actually from Friday.?ÿ It is where we are putting in Ground Based Augmented System (GPS base stations) for landing aircraft.?ÿ?ÿ
