Question.?ÿ Is Marietta pronounced similar to Marie-tuh or Mary Etta?
Many years ago I worked with a woman with that name.?ÿ She said her name was pronounced as Marie-tuh, like the city in Georgia.?ÿ Was she correct about the city?
I guess it depends on the flavor of southern you use in your daily speech. Most pronounce is with the typical southern "Marie-tuh".?ÿ
Thank you for the correct answer.?ÿ I currently know a different Marietta who pronounces her name as Mary Etta.
I grew up in Georgia, and spent some time at the old Southern Tech in Mary-Etta. Never heard it pronounced any other way.
Marie-tuh is a brand of bread (Merita), originally baked by Hostess but purchased by Flowers after the Hostess bankruptcy.
Marietta happens to be the home of The Big Chicken. Acclaimed fine eatin??. ?????ÿ
Did Don Hutchins retire??ÿ I'd apply but the president of the company used to work with me (grin).?ÿ If you talk to Greg tell him Andy said Hello.
Andy
@flga-2-2 It was originally a barbecue restaurant (late 50's early 60's).?ÿ It's on US41 which was the main route to Florida before the Interstate highways were built.?ÿ Kentucky Fried Chicken bought it and the rest is history.
Andy
I will do that... I do need some ammunition to keep him in line, and to answer your original question, Don did not retire, he moved over to Gaskins' Canton office. He keeps threatenting to retire, I just don't think he can bring himself to do it.
@flga-2-2
?ÿ
Our office is right behind the Big Chicken.?ÿ
Now, I'm confused again.?ÿ I suppose the Yankees passing through call it Muh-reetar
