SEH is currently searching for a talented Professional Land Surveyor to join our team in Indiana or surrounding areas! This is a remote position.
When you join SEH??s Surveying Team, you're laying the foundation for project success through accurate fieldwork, and detailed and precise documentation. You'll use the latest technologies and advanced equipment, including drones, to collect the data necessary to support future planning, design, and construction. Opportunity:
Collaborate with engineers and other land survey staff on civil and site development, transportation related design, and construction projects
Work on projects such as streets, highway, airports, railroad, sewers, site development and more!
What you will be doing:
Manage and direct field crew activities
Work with clients
Review boundary research and field surveys including route and property surveys, and ALTA surveys
Prepare right-of-way plats, parcel sketches, data reduction and calculations
Oversee preparations of topographic maps and site plans from survey information collected
Required Qualifications:
Must possess Professional Land Surveyor Licensure within the State of Indiana
Must have ability to travel to jobsites in IN occasionally
Minimum of four (4) years of surveying experience
Strong working knowledge of modern survey methods, including use of total station and GPS equipment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must possess a valid Driver's license and must be able to successfully pass an MVR check
Ability to walk and climb over rough terrain and carry, lift and pull equipment and materials weighing up to 40 pounds over long distances
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with Trimble Equipment and Software
Private land development and municipal civil design experience
Business development experience
Proficiency with Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation

Base compensation is expected to be in the following ranges based on skill set and experience:
4-15 years experience: $34 /hr - $45 /hr
15-25 years experience: $43 /hr - $60 /hr
