Looks like I'm going to have to replace my HP Designjet 110Plus and I'm looking at the HP T-130 Designjet.?ÿ Anybody have any experience with this model?

Thanks

I have no personal experience with that model. Your post caused me to look up the specs. It looks like a great machine except that it doesn't accept mylar media. I could be wrong, but that is what it looks like. That would be a deal killer for me.?ÿ ?ÿ?ÿ

I upgraded to a t-830 with a scanner a few years ago - nice not to have to go out and get scans made

Under 3K for a 24 inch model - mine is a 36 and is about 6K

I have friends that have had a Cannon and it worked well

I too have the T830 with scanner not the T130. Works well scanner is a bonus when you need to scan as a whole. Upgraded from designjet 500 which worked well but died and the repair cost was not worth it.?ÿ

Only wish now is to have a double roll feed to feed various sizes inside so no need to change between different sheet sizes.

I got tired of HP's B's with their ink cartridges. Bought a Canon 680. The new ones are 780's for a little over $2000. It's much smaller, ink cartridges are cheaper and it prints an 18 X 24 plot in a quarter of the time my HP did. I figured out how to plot a 24 X 36 plot on it so I'm extremely happy with it. I bought it online. Canon people delivered it and put it together in my office. I've still got a cardboard box full of Half full HP cartridges I'll give you if you pay postage

I finally gave up on finding ink for my HP-450C and bought an Epson T3470 about a year and half ago.?ÿ It's only a 24" printer, but I had long since standardized on D-size prints anyway, and nowadays the only full-size plots I make are mylars for recording.?ÿ About $2k, it's been working fine.

The T-130 looks like a good plotter and I would take a chance on it based on reviews. I am wondering if there are any low-cost color scanners that will handle 24-inch sheets.

I've used hp dj100 and t120 with no issues for 15+ years. Did you consider the T100?

These are dispensable at the their price point.

I replaced my two HPs (a D and an E) with the Canon 780. So much faster and easier to use.

@jim-frame I have had some blocked nozzles with Epson plotters (and printers) in the past. Especially when they are not used on a regular basis. Wastes a lot of good ink when doing a cleaning procedure.

There's about 5 print shops within a few miles, no muss, no fuss. A lot of them do large format when back in the day you had to go to a blueprint shop.

There are 2 job shops in my town, one FedEx/Kinko's, the other independent, but neither one can print on mylar.?ÿ I could use a Sacramento service bureau, but the cost of delivery (and/or me having to drive there) made the new plotter a more attractive option.
