So I have this old Wrangler jacket, been wearing it a looooog time.?ÿ
It's beginning to finally fray, and SWMBO looks at it and says; "Ever consider an new one?"
No, I hadn't, but it gets me to thinking and I'm at the Big R so I look at them,,,,,,,,,,
I'm looking at mine, looking at new ones, what a bunch of junk compared to the old one.?ÿ
Then it dawns on me, mine is so old it was USA made.
I remember wearing it kinda new on a trip I took in 1991:
?ÿ
No, I don't believe I will get a new one, so there!!!
Looks like it's barely used yet an just breaking in.....IMHO
?ÿ
?ÿ
It does look good in that pic, much better than the in person version ?????ÿ
My bride found a new old stock sherpa lined levis jacket a few years ago. I am having trouble getting it to break in. Quality stuff...
I was looking at what's left of the neck tag on mine and you can just make out made in the USA. I doubt that will survive another washing but maybe.?ÿ

I have always been getting my cotton winterwear drycleaned and let them give it a tad of starch to make it water resistant.
I got a couple port authority jackets from work a couple years ago that have been a beast.?ÿ It's thin so I think it's intended for spring or winter wear but I've been able to wear it into December and as early as late February.?ÿ It's always nice when the gear actually lives up to the advertisement.
My lightweight green jacket is 41 years old and still just perfect for a chilly morning. I suspect old and comfortable clothes are more a guy thing.
Cripes Moe, there are people that will pay big buck$ for abused denim. Go stand in front of a Saks Fifth Ave. somewhere and I'll bet you could sell it for $300 or more. ?????ÿ
@bruce-small the ladies pay big bucks for ripped up jeans that look old, but are new 🙂
I never considered denim of any type to be winter wear, as the saying goes, cotton kills.
I have started buying all of my clothing from https://truewerk.com/
I have a shirt and a couple versions of pants and so far happy. I think the vests and jackets will be on list soon.
The T3 WerkPant is the bomb for staying warm and dry

I despise companies that purposely misspell common words so that they're more appealing to Millennials.?ÿ
Now get off my lawn!?ÿ
I'm not sure what's misspelled. Truewerk seems like a coined term, recent maybe. Werk is spelled correctly in German. It would be nice to know if the?ÿw should be pronounced as?ÿv.?ÿ
I wonder if TruGreen employees wear Truewerk clothes or use Truflo pumps.
@hi-staker well you are talking about the name, so mission accomplished. I made up a company name too 🙂
