This morning I was asked to revise a draft description that I sent out last month, and when I looked at the draft this is what I saw.
Apparently I thought the CAD window was active and issued the PLOT command to print the associated map, but the description window actually had the focus and recorded my keystrokes as text, and I didn't catch it.
Oops.
Truth is stranger than fiction. I love this kind of story.
Delivered the goods to a client last evening as she is in a big hurry to get things wrapped up. Was up till about midnight Saturday trying to finalize, proofread, correct little things, proofread again.
Today I was going to start a similar project's drafting and copied the prior survey plat to use to structure the new drawing. BAMMMM HOW COULD I BE SO BLIND? The one I delivered had a title block stating it was for a job I did in March two counties away.
I only caught this because I was going to change the title block to what it is for the next plat. FOR CRIPES SAKE! BUY A CLUE, DUDE!
Now there will be a special hand delivery to retrieve the faulty plat and explain why she is getting a new one.
Just post your drawings here before you release them. We will "check" them for you real good. 😉
