Worked in an engineering consultancy that had a soil and rock testing lab. Secretary penned up a fax cover sheet template that had as its subject: "Testes Results". Got used a few times before some scholar corrected it.

@wa-id-surveyor We also had a drafter that did this. Mind you, he had 20+ years of drafting experience. He liked to say the phrase "monkey see, monkey do" when this sort of things happened. His argument was that didn't want to be liable in any way for mistakes he might do for trying to read the mind of the PE's/RPLS's.

A priest, a pastor, and a rabbit walk into a blood donation clinic.

The nurse asks the rabbit what his blood type is.

The rabbit says, "I am probably just a Type-O"

Down this way, "runway" as in airport runway, very often gets spelt "runaway" because that's how it's pronounced, and no spell checker's gonna pick that up. "Social" as in social media, gets pronounced "shoshall" but I haven't seen it written like that.

A drawing I made included a septic tank and a leech pit. The customer called and said "are you telling me that on my property there is a pit full of leeches?"

Worked at a small firm owned and run by a PE/LS in the early days of CAD.?ÿ He was the lead CAD dude.

Shortly after starting there, I was tasked with reviewing the plans before they were issued.?ÿ His standard certification contained some language about "....corrrectly showing conditions....".?ÿ?ÿ

That certification with the misspelling had been used for quite a while with nobody noticing/mentioning it....

@jaccen?ÿ

Many years ago a local authority in the area I was working had a pretty obnoxious approach to "equality" and upset just about everyone with their antics. Eventually one of their draughtsman (about to leave for another job) decided to apply their edcits literally and altered all the drainage records from Manhole to another word which you have already hinted at.

It caused much amusement for all except the authority officers who were somewhat apoplectic!

My favorite is a spell check problem. This is a direct copy and paste out of a local jurisdictions checklist (emphasis added):
